Charles Daniel Blackshear Sr, 58, died Saturday. A native of Blakely, Mr. Blackshear had resided at Albany most of his life. He was a former president of the Albany Board of Realtors, president of the Georgia Association of Realtors in 1974, Realtor of the Year of the Georgia Association of Realtors in 1972 and president of the National Association of Real Estate License Law Officials in 1978.

A member of the Georgia Real Estate Commission for 16 years, Mr. Blackshear served as chairman 14 years and was a member of the Citizens and Southern National Bank of Albany's advisory board of directors. He was a member of Porterfield Memorial Methodist Church and was associated with the Red Cross.

Survivors include his wife, Patrcia Heath Blackshear of Albany; a daughter, Bonny Blackshear Dorough of Albany; a son, Charles Daniel Blackshear Jr. of Albany; his father, Charles Blackshear of Albany; and a sister, Mary Ann Oakes of Albany.
