Outfielder from Lakeland...two year starter and letterman...was named The Sporting News Freshman of the Year...earned 1st Team Freshman All-American honors and 3rd Team All-American honors in 1998...earned 1st Team All-American honors from American Baseball Coaches Association and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, 2nd Team from Baseball Weekly and 3rd Team from Collegiate Baseball in 1999...entered the Major League draft after his sophomore year...made the Dean's List multiple times during his time at FSU...had four home runs, seven RBIs and 17 total bases against Oklahoma in the NCAA Regionals...cracked the seasonal top 25 lists in Batting Average (21st-.390 in 1998), Slugging Percentage (17th-.714 in 1998 and 23rd-.688 in 99), At Bats (8th-301 in 1999), Hits (10th-114 in 1999 19th-105 in 98), Doubles (18th-24 in 1999), Home Runs (11th-22 in 1998, 13th-21 in 1999), RBIs (8th-94 in 1999 and 17th-84 in 98) and Total Bases (7th-207 in 1999 and 12th-192 in 98)...his career top 25 appearances include Batting Average (6th-.384), Slugging Percentage (6th-.700), Home Runs (10th-43), RBIs (22nd-178) and Total Bases (22nd-399)...helped lead the Seminoles to the College World Series in 1998 and 99 (second place)...has played eight years in the major leagues with the Devil Rays, Royals and his current team the Atlanta Braves.
