Quarterback from Spartanburg, SC...four-year letterman...directed two come-from-behind victories as a freshman in 1985 against Kansas and North Carolina, took over the starting duties in the eighth game against Miami through the end of the season including a victory over Oklahoma State in the Gator Bowl; earned 2nd Team Freshman All-American honors from Football News and The Sporting News...played behind Danny McManus in 1986 and 87...in 1988, following a loss to Miami in the first game of the season, Ferguson led the Seminoles to 11 straight wins to finish with an 11-1 record and a No. 3 final AP ranking...had a 300-yard passing game against Oklahoma State in the Gator Bowl, passed for three touchdowns in a game four different times...is on the top 25 seasonal list for Touchdowns (17th-16 in 1988)...he's on the top 25 career lists for Passing Attempts (13th-496), Completions (13th-281), Yards (13th-3846), Touchdowns (12th-34) and Total Offense (15th-3746).
