Obituary for Mark Steven Meseroll From the Summersett Funeral Home Mr. Mark Steven Meseroll, 63, of Salisbury, NC, passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2018 at his residence. He was a graduate of Piscataway High School in Piscataway, NJ. Mark also graduated from Florida State University where he played football. After college, he went on to play in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints for 2 years. He then played for the Oakland Raiders until a career ending injury. He was a member of the National Football League Players Association. After his football career he developed and owned ProCast Metals for 30 years, a metal sales company alongside his son Steven. When his daughter, Katie was diagnosed with cancer he stopped working and never left her side. Mr. Meseroll volunteered as a coach with his children’s sports teams. He was heavily involved in planning and organizing the Brenner Children’s Hospital Celebrity Golf Tournament for 25 years. Mark was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Meseroll is preceded in death by his daughter, Katie Meseroll, September 8, 2016. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jackie Livingston Meseroll, whom he married April 4th 1981; son, Steven Meseroll and wife Lauren along with their children, Sarah and John Everett Meseroll; brothers, Jeff Meseroll and wife Diane of Savannah, GA; Scott Meseroll and wife Mary Lou of Lecanto, FL; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
