Ken Misner was a three-time track and field All-American while running for the Seminoles. He earned the honors for cross country in 1969 and 1970 and for the six-mile run in 1971. He set school
records in the indoor two-mile as well as the outdoor two-, three- and six-mile runs. His 28:55.34 time in the 10,000 meters in 1971 held up as the school record for 22 years until broken in 2003. He
also earned All-American honors in the outdoor three-mile run after his showing at the USTFF meet in 1971. Misner remains one of the finest athletes to compete in track and field for the Seminoles.
