NCAA Championship, 7th place

The Seminoles capped off their season with an impressive seventh place finish in the NCAA Championships. The Seminoles finished the tournament 12 strokes behind winner Oklahoma State. The Tribe was tied for 2nd place after the first round, and in sole possession of 2nd place after the 2nd round of the tournament before finishing 7th. Entering the championships tied for 37th in the regional, Ken Staton improved to a tied for 14th with Harrison Frazer of Texas and Garrett Larson of California. George McNeill and Richard Fulford both tied for 29th, 10 strokes off the lead. After a first-place finish in the regional, Christian Raynor finished the Championships tied for 35th at 294. Chip Spratlin of Auburn fired an opeing round 67 and held on to win the tournament by one stroke over Ted Purdy od Arizona and Chris Tidland of Oklahoma State.
