James Stewart Hardesty Obituary. Published by the Tampa Bay Times on Jun 15, 1991, page 42. James S. Hardesty, 59, of Tampa, died Thursday
(June 13, 1991) in Tampa. He was born in Tolu, Ky., and came here in 1951
from Evansville, Ind. He was owner of Hardesty Business Machines and
president of the Seminole Seekers. He was a member of Hillsboro Lodge 25,
F&AM, Tampa Consistory, Scottish Rite and Egypt Shrine Temple. He was a
captain in the Egypt Temple Marching Patrol and a former member of the
Silver Lake Country Club and Carroll-wood Village Golf & Tennis Club. He
served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He attended Florida State
University on a basketball scholarship. Survivors include his wife, June
R., a son, James S. Jr., Tampa; three daughters, Gina Vega, Julie
Buffington and Jill Hardesty, all of Tampa; his mother, Mildred M. Sturm,
Tampa; and three grandchildren. |
