Harry L. Hughey, 56, of 1106 E. Lakeview Ave., died Saturday morning in a hospital.

Mr. Hughey was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. He was a graduate of Pensacola High School, Florida State University and played football on the Florida State first team. He was formerly a sportscaster for Florida State University football games, a sportscaster and newscaster for WBSR radio and TV and radio stations in Bradenton and Fort Myers.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie A. Hughey of Pansacola; a daughter, Adele Green of Pensacola; a grandson, Todd Green of Pensacola; and a sister, Dorothy Freundschuh of Pensacola.
