Chris Kalfas, 70, of Tallahassee died Friday.

A native of Martin's Ferry, Ohio, he was a longtime resident of Tallahassee. He owned and operated the Silver Slipper Restaurant, and was a Shriner and an Elk. He was a member of the Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Kalfas of Tallahassee; two sons, Bill Kalfas and Jimmy Kalfas, both of Tallahassee; two daughters, Christina Kalfas Leonard of Tallahassee and Sara Kalfas of Barrington, Ill.; four sisters, Angela Coumanis and Irene Brewton, both of Tallahassee, Kathy Warley of Alligator Point and Maggie Lingerfelt of Suches, Ga.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
