George Martin Boyd Obituary. Published by the Tallahassee Democrat on October 28, 1987, page 16. George Martin Boyd, 64, of 2959 Apalachee Parkway, Apartment D-2, died Monday at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center. A native of DeSoto County, he lived in Tallahassee since 1952. He was the Leon County environmental-health director, a Methodist, a World War II veteran and a member of the Lions Club. He was president of the Florida Environmental Health Association, a member of the Florida Public Health Association, he Florida Association of Sanitarians, the American Health Association and the Florida Environmental Health Directors Association. Survivors include two sons, Steve Boyd of Tallahassee and
Ken Whittle of Gadsden County; a daughter, Vicky Foster of Commerce, Okla.;
two brothers, Henry Boyd of Webster and Wesley Boyd of Jacksonville; two
sisters, Martha Cross of Plant City and Ruth Wilson of Webster; and a
granddaughter. |
