Kevin Allen Griffis Obituary. Posted on findagrave.com Kevin passed away peacefully at his home after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was a 1980 graduate of Union County High School and a 1984 graduate of Florida State University, where he walked on and lettered in football. Kevin was a gentleman farmer and cattleman. He was employed by GMAC as the branch manager in Jacksonville. Kevin was a Christian and belonged to Fruit Cove Baptist Church. His passions were in coaching his sons and others in youth T-ball, baseball, basketball, and football. Kevin was first and foremost a family man, not only with his immediate family but his large extended family, he was the glue that kept them all together. Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Lynn West Griffis, his two sons, James "Kyle" and Jared Allen and by his brother Ronnie K "Kelly" Griffis and his sister Kimberly Ellen Myer and their families. He is also survived by his Uncle Glen Hart and Aunt Nancy Crews, his mother in law and father in law Lee and Roy Petrie. By Vicki's brothers Chris and Craig West and their families and all the cousins by the dozens. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is predeceased by his parents Ronnie K and Linda
