Kenneth Roy Hart Obituary. Posted by Bevis Funeral Home, Tallahassee, Fla. Kenneth Roy Hart, passed away on August 19, 2022. He was 76 years old. Born in Sacramento, CA, Ken was raised on a citrus farm in Groveland, FL. He was a star student and athlete in high school, earning a scholarship to play football for Florida State University from 1964 to 1969, and obtaining his BA and Masters of Accounting in that time. Ken worked for Price Waterhouse in Miami for three years, before deciding to return to Florida State's College of Law, earning his JD in 1974. Starting his legal career in Tallahassee with Brown, Smith, Young & Pelham and Brown & Hart; in 1979, Ken joined what is now the Ausley McMullen Law Firm. Over his 44-year career with Ausley, he served as the firm's managing partner, chair, and CEO. In his free time, Ken was a runner and an avid hunter, who loved the outdoors and long leaf pine trees. Later in life, despite several health setbacks, Ken was unmatched in his perseverance, meeting life's challenges with hard work and humor. Ken is survived by
his loving wife of 44 years, Carol Lees; sons James and Charlie and
daughter-in-law Heather; two grandchildren, Hudson and Lily; and his
nephews Andrew Hart, Gregg Marshall, and Collins Marshall. He was preceded
by his brother, Gerry Hart; and his parents, Roy and Willie Kate Hart. |
