Justin Michael Tomerlin Obituary. Published by the San Diego Union-Tribune on Mar 26, 2010. LA JOLLA, Calif. - Former Nebraska football player Justin Tomerlin has died after a skateboarding accident near his California home. Records from the San Diego County medical examiner's office say the 27-year-old was skateboarding down a hill in La Jolla, Calif., last Saturday and fell, hitting his head. The records indicate Tomerlin was not wearing a helmet and suffered head injuries that led to his death on Tuesday. Tomerlin transferred to Nebraska from
Butler County (Kan.) Community College in summer 2005. The tight end played
three games for the Cornhuskers during the 2006 season. |
