Leonard Booth Obituary. Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 10, 2018. Leonard "Dirty Neck" Booth, born on January 8, 1935 in Worcester,
Massachusetts, to the late Rose and the late Michael, passed away at age 83
on September 8, 2018. Leonard graduated from Western Kentucky University in
1956 and University of Miami - Masters Degree in 1967. Leonard served in
the Army from 1957 to 1959. He was a teacher at Miami Senior High and Miami
Jackson Senior High until retiring in 1989, a Baseball Coach at Miami
Jackson Senior High, Miami Senior High and Miami Dade Wolfson Campus until
retiring in 1989, and the business owner of B Screened until retiring in
2015. He was also a high school basketball referee for 57 years for the
FHSAA. Leonard was married to Evelyn. He was preceded in death by his
brothers, Sidney, Harold, and Milton. Leonard is survived by his son,
Michael; daughter, Michelle; and grandchildren, Heather Barrow, Hayley
Cassis, Hillary Barrow, Carley Booth, Ryan Booth, and Tyler Booth;
great-grandchildren Alias, Nicholas and Zachary. He enjoyed cheering and
coaching his grandchildren in baseball and softball and rooting on his
beloved Miami Hurricanes. He was a founding member of Oma-Kron Fraternity
at Western Kentucky University. |
