Posted by The Dallas Morning News.

Harold Kent Hearn went home to his Lord on Friday, August 3, 2023, in Dallas, TX, at the age of 87. Kent (known to his family and friends as "Ken" or "Kenny") was born on January 20, 1936, to Roy Hearn and Marie (Ochs) Hearn in Great Bend, Kansas. Ken, a 1954 graduate of East High School in Denver, Colorado, enjoyed football, baseball, trumpet playing and secured many medals won at the Colorado state gymnastic competitions. Florida State University became his college home where he joined the University's Flying High Circus as a trapeze aerialist, taught trampoline lessons and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He graduated with a Bachelors' degree in business & went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1963, achieving the rank of Lt.J.G.

After his service in the Navy, Ken returned to Denver, Colorado where he met and later married his lifetime sweetheart, Korrine Gale Jones on June 15, 1963. They celebrated 60 years of marriage and two children. Through all of his years, Ken joyously continued in competitive sports and was an excellent tennis player, marathon runner and golfer. In his later years, he commandeered the ping pong table, bocce ball court and even gave boxing another go. The family enjoyed adventure travel & later international travel with his wife.

Throughout his 50-year career in business, he worked with Minnesota Mining, and Xerox, before moving into the field of Investment Banking for the remainder of his work years.
