Gary Drew Hill, of Raleigh, died Sunday at his home. He was a professor of Sociology at North Carolina State University for the past thirteen years. He was a graduate of Florida State University and received his doctorate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Surviving are: wife, Mary D. Hill; sons, Andrew D. and Jackson A. Hill of the home; parents, Raymond and Doris Hill of Maitland, Fla.; brothers, Bruce A. Hill of Richmond, Ky. and Craig H. Hill of Chattanooga, Tenn.; nephews, Scott and Greg Hill.
