Charles Emil Krausche, age 73, of Harrison Township, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton. Charles was born August 6, 1941, in Providence, Rhode Island, son of the late Marion and Kenneth Krausche. Charles worked as a professor and a practitioner of civil engineering in the private and the public sector, having taught in Florida, and practiced in Alaska, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, and with the Air Force in Florida and Ohio. In his retirement, Charles became a Master gardener, and nurtured a wonderful vegetable garden. He was a community volunteer, and enjoyed travel, the arts, music, dance and cooking. Charles leaves behind his wife, Kathy Anderson; his two sons and their wives, Charles and Elizabeth, Jonathan and Michelle; his sisters, Pauline Brown, Carolyn McCoy and Kris Zipin, a brother, Ken Krausche; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Nigel, Orion, Alexandra, Millicent, Lillian and John B. Charles was a kind, big-hearted person, with many friends and family, who will miss him dearly.
