Obituary for Larry Jack Strickland Published in the Tallahassee Democrat on July 16, 2015 Larry Jack Strickland, 64, died at home with family July 15, 2015. He graduated from Rickard's High School and went on to play football at Florida State University as a linebacker for the Seminoles. He graduated from FSU as an All American 1969-1972, played in the first Fiesta Bowl, team Captain during his Jr.& Sr. years and played in the North/South All State game as Captain. He worked in construction, residential & commercial. He is predeceased by his parents Roland Strickland Sr. & Bessie Strickland and sister Judy Smith. He is survived by step mother Lona Nichols, 1 daughter Joanna Deeb Strickland, 1 son David Lance Strickland, 2 brothers Rody Strickland (Brenda) and Glen Dewayne Strickland. |
