GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - The No. 9 Florida State men's golf team sits tied for fifth place following the opening round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate, held at the American Dunes Club in Grand Haven, Michigan.

Wilmer Edero led the Noles, finishing even 71 and is tied for eighth place after carding nine pars on the back nine. He sits two strokes back from the lead.

After a slow start, Jack Bigham hit four birdies in five holes, including three-in-a-row as he made the turn. Bigham is tied for 13th at 1-over, 72 after round one.

Carson Brewer made four birdies on the day, including back-to-back on holes 15 and 16. He sits tied for 24th at 2-over, 73.

Jack Whaley made his debut in the Garnet and Gold, shooting 3-over, 74, along with Patrick McCann. Both are tied for 32nd.


Whaley Leads Noles in Round Two at Folds of Honor.

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - The No. 9 Florida State men's golf team sits in sixth place after the second round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate, which is being held at the American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan.

The Seminoles finished the day shooting 8-over, led by Jake Whaley, who scored 1-over 72. Whaley improved by two shots from Monday. He sits tied for 25th at 4-over, 146.

Jack Bigham and Carson Brewer each contributed rounds of 73 on Tuesday, carding three birdies each. Bigham is in leads the Noles in the standings in 17th at 3-over, 145 while Brewer is tied with Whaley at 4-over after matching his round of 73.

Patrick McCann shot 74 in the second round, matching his score from Monday. He is six-over, 148 for the tournament and tied for 36th.


Brewer Finishes Strong, Leads Noles at Folds of Honor.

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - Florida State men's golf redshirt sophomore Carson Brewer led the Noles in the final round of the 2025 Folds of Honor Collegiate on Wednesday at the American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan.

After Wilmer Edero and Jack Whaley led the Noles in rounds one and two respectively, Brewer turned in the best round of the tournament, shooting 1-under, 70 on Wednesday to finish 16th at 3-over, 216.

Jack Bigham followed Brewer on the leaderboard, closing the final round 2-over, 73, finishing 21st at 5-over, 218.

Whaley finished with a pair of birdies on the back nine, carding 4-over, 75 to place 35th at 8-over, 221.

Edero carded four birdies in the final round, matching his first round score, finishing even, 71. Edero climbed 10 spots and finished 37th at 9-over, 222.

Whaley Leads Noles in First Round of Fighting Illini Invitational. September 19, 2025

OLYMPIA FIELDS, ILL. - The Florida State men's golf team opened the Olympia Fields Country Club Fighting Illini Invitational on Friday.

The 15th-ranked Seminoles sit tied for sixth place after shooting 5-over, 285 along with No. 16 Texas A&M and No. 12 Illinois. No. 19 Texas Tech is in the lead at 1-under, 279.

Jack Whaley led the Noles in the opening round, shooting 1-under, 69 and is tied for sixth place. Whaley and Patrick McCann started the tournament near the top of the leaderboard, carding three birdies each on the front nine, shooting 33. McCann finished the round at 1-over, 71 and is tied for 21st.

Tyler Weaver is tied for 35th place after a round of 2-over, 72.

After a slow start, Carson Brewer carded three birdies over a four hole stretch to start the back nine, finishing 3-over, 73. He is tied for 41st.


Brewer Cards 66 in Second Round to lead Noles at Olympia Fields.

OLYMPIA FIELDS, ILL. - The Florida State men's golf team moved up to fifth place following the second round of play at the Olympia Fields Country Club Fighting Illini Invitational on Saturday.

The 15th-ranked Seminoles finished the day 2-under, 278, moving to 3-over, 563 through two rounds. FSU holds a three-shot lead over No. 2 Arizona State and is one back from No. 13 Illinois.

Carson Brewer led the Noles, shooting 4-under, 66, climbing 30 spots on the leaderboard. Brewer carded four birdies in his bogey-free round and sits tied for 11th place at 1-under, 139.

Jack Whaley had a strong performance, finishing even-par 70 and sits tied for 11th place.

Tyler Weaver also finished Saturday even-par 70, and is tied for 29th at 2-over, 142.

Patrick McCann carded two birdies on the back nine to finish 2-over ,72. He is tied for 35th place just behind Weaver at 3-over, 143.


Brewer, Whaley Post Top 10 Finishes at Olympia Fields.

OLYMPIA FIELDS, ILL. - The Florida State men's golf team finished the Olympia Fields Country Club Fighting Illini Invitational on Sunday.

In a field that featured 14 teams either ranked or receiving votes, the 15th-ranked Seminoles shot 4-over 284 on Sunday and finished the tournament tied for sixth place at 7-over, 847 along with No. 18 Georgia Tech. FSU finished ahead of three ranked teams including No. 2 Arizona State, No. 11 Alabama and No. 16 Texas A&M.

After shooting 66 on Saturday, Carson Brewer led the Noles with a round of 1-under, 69 to close the tournament. Brewer earned his fourth-career top 10 finish, tying for sixth at 2-under, 208.

Jack Whaley and Tyler Weaver finished the day even-par, 70. Whaley earned his first top 10 finish in the Garnet and Golf, tying for ninth place at 1-under, 209. Weaver followed tied for 24th at 2-over, 212.

Patrick McCann finished tied for 50th at 8-over, 218.

McLauchlan Sets the Tone at Hamptons Intercollegiate.

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. - The Florida State men's golf team opened the Hamptons Intercollegiate on Monday. Play has been suspended in the second round due to darkness and will resume Tuesday morning.

The 15th-ranked Seminoles sit in fifth place, at 4-over, 580. No. 21 Georgia is currently leads at 7-under, 558 for two rounds.

Entering the clubhouse before darkness settled in, Andrew McLauchlan finished his day with five birdies on the back nine. McLauchlan shot even, 72 in the first round and improved to 2-under, 70 in the second. He sits in eighth place at 142, 2-under.

Jack Whaley sits 14th after two rounds at 1-over, 145. After starting the day even, Whaley climbed the leaderboard on the back nine in the second, carding three birdies.

Patrick McCann finished his day with three-straight birdies, scoring 2-over 74 for the round. He is 2-over, 146 for the tournament and is in 21st place.

Wilmer Edero is tied for 25th place at 3-over, 147.

Jack Bigham has one hole remaining in the second round, currently sits tied for 25th at 3-over, 147.


Bigham Closes Hamptons Intercollegiate with Top 10 Finish.

October 7, 2025

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. - Florida State senior Jack Bigham led the No. 15 Florida State men's golf team at the Hamptons Intercollegiate at the Maidstone Club on Tuesday.

Bigham finish tied for ninth at 1-under, 215 after shooting 6-under, 66 in the final round. His round tied the lowest score in the field.

After play was halted on Monday due to darkness, Bigham finished his second round with a par on the 18th, carding 4-over, 76 for the round.

Sitting tied for 35th as he started the third, Bigham carded an eagle on the seventh, a par four, 349-yard hole. On the back nine, Bigham was bogey-free and scored his second eagle of the day on the par five, 493-yard 15th. Bigham also added three birdies on the back nine.

Andrew McLauchlan followed tied for 16th place, finishing the tournament 1-over, 217 after shooting 75 on Tuesday. McLauchlan also rebounded on the back nine, carding four birdies. It was his first top 20 finish in four tournaments representing the Garnet and Gold.

Jack Whaley followed in 18th place, finishing 2-over, 218 after shooting 73 on Tuesday.

After a slow start on the front, Wilmer Edero was in at 33 strokes, carding five birdies on the back nine. He finished the day even, 72 and placed 20th at 3-over, 219.

Patrick McCann finished 6-over, 221 and placed 29th.

Weaver, Whaley Lead Noles in Opening Round of Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - The No. 22 Florida State men's golf team opened the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational on Friday finishing 3-under, 285.

The Seminoles were led by Tyler Weaver and Jack Whaley, who both shot 2-under, 70 and sit tied for 15th place. Whaley finished strong on the back nine, carding four birdies. Weaver showcased steady play, carding three birdies.

Andrew McLauchlan followed, shooting even par, 72, just ahead of Wilmer Edero, who posted 1-over, 73. McLauchlan is tied for 29th, while Edero is tied for 39th.


Weaver Leads Noles on Saturday at Golf Club of Georgia.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - The No. 22 Florida State men's golf team was led by Tyler Weaver in the second round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate on Saturday.

Playing the Lakeside Course, Weaver shot even, 72 on Saturday. He closed out his front nine with a birdie and added two more after making the turn. Weaver sits tied for 17th at 2-under, 142.

Jack Bigham improved his score from the first round, carding 1-over, 73. Heading into the final round, Bigham is tied for 50th at 4-over, 148.

Andrew McLauchlan made an eagle off the turn and added two more birdies down the stretch. After a bogey free back nine, McLauchlan closed the round shooting 1-over 73. He sits tied for 27th at 1-over, 145 along with Jack Whaley.

Wilmer Edero finished the day 2-over, 74 and is tied for 46th heading into the third round on Sunday at 3-over, 147.

FSU is in ninth place at 1-over, 577 after shooting 4-over, 292.


Noles Finish Strong at Golf Club of Georgia Invitational.

October 26, 2025

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - The No. 22 Florida State closed out the fall season on Sunday at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational, held at the Lakeside Course. The Seminoles shot 1-under, 287 in the third round and finished the weekend 1-under, 863 for seventh place.

Facing brisk temperatures in the 50's and strong winds in the final round, the Seminoles finished ahead No. 15 Utah (+7) and No. 25 UCLA (+6), in addition to RV Stanford (Even), RV Washington (+5) and RV Clemson (+23).

Andrew McLauchlan had a team-best round of the weekend, opening with four birdies on the front nine. He finished the day shooting 3-under, 69, climbing the leaderboard to tie for 14th place at 2-under, 214, finishing in the top 20 for the second straight tournament.

Tyler Weaver added a round of 73 and followed McLauchlan tied for 18th, finishing 1-under, 215.

Jack Bigham also played his best round of the tournament, finishing strong with five birdies on the back nine. He carded 1-under, 71 on the day and was 2-over, 218 for the tournament, tying for 32nd.

Jack Whaley followed, finishing tied for 35th place after shooting 74 on Sunday. He shot 3-over, 219.

Competing individually, Carson Brewer added his best round, finish even, 72. He was 6-over, 222 for the weekend, tying for 41st.

Weaver, Brewer Lead Noles in Opening Round of Watersound Invitational.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The Florida State men's golf team opened the Watersound Invitational on Monday which was played on The Third Golf Course at the Watersound Club. The Seminoles currently sit in fourth place at 4-under, 276 behind No. 11 Arkansas (269), No. 10 Ole Miss (270) and No. 3 Vanderbilt (273).

Among the eight FSU players competing, the Noles attacked the three par fives, collecting 12 birdies and an eagle from Carson Brewer.

Tyler Weaver and Brewer turned in the top scores in the round, shooting 3-under, 67 and are tied for sixth place. Starting on the fourth hole, Brewer secured an eagle on number five, and stayed steady throughout the round, carding just one bogey. Weaver carded six birdies on the day, including four on the back nine to surge into the top 10 along with Brewer.

Jack Whaley carded three birdies and finished the round even, 70 and is 29th. Jack Bigham followed with two birdies and was 2-over, 72, sitting 47th.

Playing individually, Patrick McCann and Wilmer Edero finished at 1-over, 71 and are tied for 38th place, ahead of Drew Jones at 3-over in 57th.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The Florida State men's golf team remains in fourth place after the second round of the Watersound Invitational on Tuesday. The Seminoles finished the day 3-under, 277 and will head into the final round at 7-under, 553.

FSU was led by Jack Bigham on Tuesday, who finished the round 3-under, 67, climbing to 23rd place at 1-under, 139 for the tournament. Bigham opened the round with three birdies on his first nine holes and finished the day with five.

Tyler Weaver, Carson Brewer, and Jack Whaley all turned in even, 70 rounds. Weaver and Brewer are tied for 14th place, leading the team at 3-under, 167. Whaley is tied for 31st and is even, 140.

After a slow start to the day on the first three holes, Weaver bounced back and carded three birdies and was one of eight players in the field who carded a three on the par four, 467-yard, 18th hole.

Brewer carded back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16 and finished the day with three total. Whaley also saw four birdies throughout his round.

Playing individually, Wilmer Edero finished the day 1-under, 69, climbing to even, 140 and is tied for 31st along with Whaley. Drew Jones carded a round of 1-over, 71 and is 4-over, 144 for the tournament and tied for 51st along with Patrick McCann.


Weaver Surges to Top 5 After Final Round of 65 at Watersound Invitational.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The Florida State men's golf team finished in fourth place at the Watersound Invitational, which ended on Wednesday at the Third Golf Course at the Watersound Club.

The Seminoles closed the tournament with a round of 2-under, 278, finishing 9-under, 831 and ahead of two ranked teams including No. 10 Ole Miss and No. 11 Alabama.

FSU was led by Tyler Weaver, who turned in a bogey-free round, tying his career-low, 65. Weaver tallied five birdies on the day, including three on the back nine. Following his 5-under round, Weaver placed fourth at 8-under, 202. It was his ninth top 10 finish of his career.

Jack Bigham and Carson Brewer finished the tournament at 1-under, 209, tying for 21st place. Bigham carded two birdies on the day, finishing the final round even, 70, while Brewer secured one, finishing 2-over, 72. Bigham picked up his 18th top 25 finish, while Brewer produced his 11th.

Andrew McLauchlan saw his best round of the tournament on Wednesday, shooting 1-over 71.

Playing individually, Patrick McCann played his best round, shooting his lowest score of the season at 68. McCann found momentum at the turn, making an eagle on the par-five, 615-yard ninth hole. He followed with a birdie on the 10th and finished the day with three. He finished the tournament 2-over, 212 and in 38th place.

Weaver Leads Noles in Opening Round of Cabo Collegiate.

LOS CABOS, Mexico - The Florida State men's golf team opened play at the 16th annual Cabo Collegiate on Sunday at the Twin Dolphin Club in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The Seminoles were led by Tyler Weaver, who finished the day 2-under, 69. Weaver saw three birdies on the front nine, and two on the back and sits tied for 11th place.

Patrick McCann finished the round under par, shooting 1-under, 70. McCann bounced back on the back nine, carding two birdies and an eagle on the par-5, 593-yard 16th hole. He is in 20th place.

Jack Whaley followed, shooting 1-over, 72 and is in 33rd place, followed by Carson Brewer, who was 3-over, 74 on the day and sits 47th.

Playing as an individual, Wilmer Edero is tied with Weaver at 2-under, 69.


Weaver Continues Strong Play at Cabo Collegiate on Monday.

LOS CABOS, Mexico - The Florida State men's golf team continued play at the 16th annual Cabo Collegiate on Monday at the Twin Dolphin Club in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Tyler Weaver continues to lead the Noles, matching his score in the first round on Monday. He sits tied ninth place at 4-under, 138 after another 69 in the second round after carding three birdies on the day.

The Seminoles saw success on the par five, 571-yard 13th hole, carding three birdies, including one from Weaver, and two eagles. Patrick McCann saw an eagle on the hole and finished the day 2-over, 73. He sits tied for 26th place at 1-over, 143.

Jack Whaley, who also made eagle on the 13th, shot 3-over 74 on Tuesday and he sits in 45th place at 4-over, 146.

Jack Bigham finished the round on Tuesday even, 71, carding four birdies on the day. Bigham is in 54th at 5-over, 147.

Competing individually, Wilmer Edero finished 3-over, 74 on Tuesday and is tied for 26th at 1-over 143.

Florida State is tied for ninth place after finishing 3-over, 287 on Monday for an overall score of 4-over, 572.


Noles Conclude Play at Cabo Collegiate.

LOS CABOS, Mexico - The Florida State men's golf team concluded play at the 16th annual Cabo Collegiate on Tuesday at the Twin Dolphin Club in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The Seminoles finished the round 1-over, 285, tallying 5-over, 857 for the tournament, finishing eighth ahead of a pair of ranked teams in No. 16 Georgia Tech and No. 3 Vanderbilt.

Tyler Weaver turned in the top score for the tournament, placing 11th at 3-under, 210 after finishing the round 1-over, 72 on Tuesday.

Patrick McCann and Jack Whaley moved up on the leaderboard in the final round, after shooting 1-under, 70 on the day. McCann carded two birdies in the round and finished the tournament in 21st place at even par, 213. Whaley saw four birdies and finished 35th at 3-over, 216.

Carson Brewer closed the tournament with a round of 2-over, 73 after securing a pair of birdies on the back nine. He finished 8-over, 221 and in 53rd place.

Noles Hold Lead in Round Two of Seminole Intercollegiate.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State men's golf team opened the Seminole Intercollegiate on Sunday at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

Due to the threat of inclement weather on Monday, play went from just after sunrise to sunset and was called after 16 holes in round two. Play will resume on Monday, and the final round will be played as scheduled on Tuesday. Florida State holds the lead at 4-under.

The Seminoles started the day off strong in ideal weather conditions and finished the first round with the lead at 1-under, 287.

In round one, FSU was led by Jack Whaley and Carson Brewer, who turned in scores of 2-under 71, followed by Tyler Weaver, who was even, 72. Whaley opened the round with three birdies on the front nine, while Brewer carded three in the round.

Jack Bigham finished at 1-over, 73 ahead of Wilmer Edero at 2-over 73.

Winds began to pick up as round two began immediately after the opening round.

Weaver made a push on the front nine, carding three birdies and moved up to tie for third place whenever play was stopped. He sits at 3-under and is 4-under for the round.

Brewer picked up a pair of birdies to start his second round, moving up the leaderboard. He is tied for fourth place at 2-under and is 2-under for the round.

Edero is tied for 15th place at 1-over for the tournament, followed by Whaley at 2-over in 21st and Bigham at 3-over in 25th.


Noles in Front After Two Rounds of Seminole Intercollegiate.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State men's golf team remains at the top of the leaderboard after two rounds of play at the Seminole Intercollegiate, which is being held at Seminole Legacy Golf Club. The Seminoles sit at 4-under, 572 through two rounds.

Battling swirling winds and gusts for the remainder of the round, Tyler Weaver finished the second round with three pars, carding 4-under, 68 for the round. He sits 4-under, 140 and is in third place, just two strokes back.

Wilmer Edero jumped up the leaderboard, after finishing the second round 2-under, 70. Edero strung together three birdies in-a-row on holes 14, 15 and 16 and closed out the round on Monday making pars. He sits tied for fourth place at 1-under, 143 along with Carson Brewer. Brewer managed an even round, shooting 72.

Jack Whaley is tied for 19th place at 3-over, 147 and Jack Bigham is tied for 29th at 4-over, 148.


Noles Defend Title at Seminole Intercollegiate.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State men's golf team won the Seminole Intercollegiate, finishing the tournament as the only team under par at 8-under, 856 after scoring 4-under, 284 on Tuesday.

The Seminoles had three golfers finish in the top 10 and all five placed within the top 15, led by Tyler Weaver, who finished in second place with a final score of 6-under, 210 after turning in a round of 2-under, 70 on Tuesday. It was his 10th-career top 10 finish and second of this season.

Weaver took over the lead after a birdie on the fourth hole and an eagle on the sixth, jumping to 7-under. Down the stretch, Weaver battled cold and windy conditions on the back nine carding two bogeys.

Carson Brewer saw three birdies on the day, including back-to-back strikes on holes four and five. Brewer finished the day even par, 72, concluding the tournament at 1-under, 215. It was his fifth top 10 finish of his career and second of the season.

Also placing in the top 10 was Wilmer Edero, who finished his final round with three birdies on the day, carding 1-over, 73 on Tuesday. Edero tied for seventh, scoring even, 270, earning his second top 10 finish of his career and first of the season.

Jack Bigham saw his best round of the tournament, shooting 2-under 70, carding three birdies in the round, jumping up the leaderboard. He finished in a tie for 11th place at 2-over, 218.

Jack Whaley finished the day shooting even, 72, carding 16 pars. He finished the tournament tied for 15th at 3-over, 219.

Weaver Leads Valspar Collegiate After Two Rounds.

PALM CITY, Fla. - The Florida State men's golf team is in fourth place after two rounds of play at the Valspar Collegiate, which is being held at the Floridian Golf Club. The Seminoles finished two rounds at 19-under, 549 and ahead of six ranked teams.

In perfect weather conditions, the Seminoles found momentum early to start the tournament, carding 12 birdies on the front nine and eight on the back to finish the first round at 15-under, 269. FSU added a round of 4-under, 280 in the second and remain ahead of No. 6 Arkansas by one stroke and behind No. 4 Texas by one.

Tyler Weaver is tied for the lead heading into the final round on Tuesday, by two strokes at 11-under, 131.

Weaver surged to the top of the leaderboard and finished 6-under, 65 after three birdies in-a-row twice in the round, first on holds four, five and six and again on holes 13, 14 and 15.

Jack Whaley turned in his best score as a Seminole, also shooting 6-under, 65 in round one. Fueled by seven birdies, Weaver and Whaley finished the round tied for second place, just two strokes behind the leader. The rounds tied for both the fourth lowest in program history and second lowest for the Noles at the Valspar Collegiate behind Frederik Kjettrup, who shot 64 three times.

In round two, Weaver saw six birdies, adding a round of 66. Weaver's performance in the first two rounds of the tournament was the best since Jack Maguire posted the same score in 2014.

Jack Bigham opened the tournament shooting 2-under, 69 carding three birdies, including back-to-back strikes on holes 17 and 18. In the second round, Bigham started with back-to-back birdies on holes five and six and finished the round shooting 70. He is 3-under, 139 for the tournament and tied for 31st.

Patrick McCann saw three birdies on the front nine and helped FSU make a move on the par-five, 529-yard 13th hole, with an eagle in the first round. McCann turned in two rounds of 70 on Monday and sits 2-under, 140 and is tied for 38th for the tournament.


Weaver Wins Valspar Collegiate.

PALM CITY, Fla. - The Florida State men's golf team finished the 2026 Valspar Collegiate in fifth place on Tuesday at the Floridian Golf Club with a final total of 30-under par, 822.

The Seminoles finished the final round 11-under, 273, placing ahead of five ranked teams.

In a field that featured over 30 amateurs ranked inside the top 100 of the World Golf Amateur Golf Rankings, including seven of the top 15, Tyler Weaver won the tournament after facing Ryder Cowan of Oklahoma in a one-hole sudden-death playoff. Weaver p After a slow start to the day, Weaver found momentum after birdies on the eighth, 11th, and 13th holes. Sitting two strokes back from the lead, Weaver made his lone eagle of the tournament on the par-five 539-yard 15th hole, tying for the lead. Weaver would par the 16th, slipping back to second. Needing a push on the final two holes, Weaver birdied the 17th, climbing to 4-under for the round and once again, tying for the lead. He won the first playoff hole, finishing the tournament at 15-under, 198, Weaver becomes the sixth Seminole in program history to break the 200-stroke barrier in a 54-hole tournament.

His 198 strokes tie for the fourth lowest in tournament history and was the lowest by a Seminole at the event. The 54-hole performance ties for third in program history alongside Frederik Kjettrup at the 2023 Watersound Invitational and Luke Clanton at the 2025 Lewis Chitengwa Memorial.

Including Weaver, five of the six Seminoles in the field contributed rounds under par to close out the tournament. Jack Bigham saw his best round of the tournament, matching Weaver's 67 on the day. Bigham jumped 12 spots on the leaderboard after carding five birdies in the round, finishing the at 7-under, 206 to tie for 19th.

Patrick McCann also carded six birdies, including five on the back nine to post 2-under, 69 for the round and 4-under, 208 for the tournament, placing 30th. Carson Brewer had his best round, finishing 1-under 70 also carding six birdies.

Playing as an individual, Wilmer Edero had his best round of the tournament, finishing the round 3-under, 68. Edero used three birdies on the front nine to move up the leaderboard and carded an eagle on the 15th hole. He finished the tournament 1-under, 212 and in 47th place.

Edero Sets Tournament Record in Opening Round of Lewis Chitengwa.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The No. 25 Florida State men's golf team sits tied for third place after two rounds of play at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial at the Birdwood Golf Club. The Seminoles are tied with No. 14 Tennessee at 16-under, 552 heading into the final round on Tuesday.

Wilmer Edero opened the tournament shooting his career-low of 63, tying the tournament record that was set in 2024 by Bryce Lewis from Tennessee. His 63 also ties the second-lowest score in program history, joining Jonathan Morrow, Matt Savage, Brooks Koepka, and John Pak to shoot 63 or lower in a single round.

Starting off the 10th hole, Edero carded four birdies before the turn, and added five more on the final nine holes to claim the 1-stroke lead at 8-under. Edero finished the second round of 1-under, 70 and is tied for second place at 9-under, 133, one stroke off the leader.

Jack Whaley also started off his day strong, shooting 65 which was his season low. Whaley put together a bogey-free round, carding six birdies including three in a row to start the day. In the second round, Whaley shot 2-over, 73 and is tied for ninth place at 4-under, 138.

Jack Bigham shot a 2-under, 69 in the opening round, carding five birdies including three in-a-row on the second, third and fourth holes. Bigham finished the day even, 142, and is tied for 26th.

Patrick McCann finished the first round even, 71, carding two birdies. In the second round, McCann saw an eagle on the par-five 549-yard 12th hole and finished the round 1-over, 72. McCann sits 33rd at 1-over, 143.

Tyler Weaver had a slow start in the first round, finishing 3-over, 73, but bounced back and carded a round of 2-under, 69 in the second. He sits even, 142.

The Seminoles turned in the lowest opening round at 16-under, 268 to start the tournament and were even, 284 in the second.


No. 25 Noles Finish Second at Lewis Chitengwa Memorial.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The No. 25 Florida State men's golf team finished in second place among the field of 12 teams at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial at the Birdwood Golf Club on Tuesday.

FSU saw four of its starters shoot under par on Tuesday to pull ahead of two ranked teams, No. 12 Tennessee and No. 19 Charlotte. The Seminoles finished the tournament 26-under par, 826 after a final round of 10-under, 274.

Jack Whaley turned in the top performance of the day for the Seminoles, shooting 4-under, 67 to climb to sixth place. Whaley turned in his second bogey-free round of the tournament, carding four birdies, to finish at 8-under, 205. It was his best finish this season and second top 10 of his career in the Garnet and Gold.

Tyler Weaver was also bogey-free on the day, finishing the round 3-under, 68. He moved up to finish in 18th place at 3-under, 210.

Jack Bigham and Patrick McCann tied for 25th place with a final score of 1-under, 212. McCann was 2-under, 69 on Tuesday, carding three birdies, while Bigham posted 1-under, 70.

Wilmer Edero added his third career top 10 finish by taking ninth place at 6-under, 207, after carding 3-over, 74.

No. 24 Noles Open ACC Play on Thursday.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The No. 24 Florida State men's golf team opened play at the 2026 ACC Championship at Shark's Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club on Thursday.

The Seminoles were led by Jack Whaley, who got off to a quick start, carding birdies on three of the first four holes. He added two more after making the turn, but finished 3-under, 69 for the round and is tied for fifth place. Whaley will enter the second round just three strokes back from the leader.

Jack Bigham followed, finishing the day 1-over 73 and is tied for 27th. Tyler Weaver was 2-over, 74 and sits tied for 35th, while Wilmer Edero was the fourth scorer for the Noles, shooting 3-over, 75 and is 45th.

As a team, Florida State sits tied for eighth place at 3-over, 291 alongside No. 2 Virginia and Clemson, however the Noles are just six strokes back from second place.


Weaver's 66 Leads No. 24 Noles on Friday at ACC Championship.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The No. 24 Florida State men's golf team carded six birdies on the final three holes in the second round of play at the 2026 ACC Championship at the Shark's Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club on Friday.

Behind a late push, the Seminoles jumped up the leaderboard and finished the round at 2-under, 286 and are in a four-way tie for sixth at 1-over, 577 heading into the final round on Saturday. The top eight teams will advance to match play on Sunday.

Tyler Weaver surged into the top 10 after round two, shooting 6-under, 66. Weaver was even through the first five holes until an eagle on the par-5 524-yard sixth took him to even for the tournament. Weaver carded four more birdies on the back nine and sits tied for ninth in the clubhouse at 4-under, 140.

Patrick McCann also finished the day under par, after back-to-back birdies on holes 17 and 18. He shot 1-under, 71.

Jack Whaley was 1-over, 73 for the round and sits in 14th place at 2-under,142 heading into the final round.


No. 24 Noles Advance to ACC Match Play.

April 25, 2026 PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The No. 24 Florida State men's golf advanced to match play following the conclusion of stroke play on Saturday at the 2026 ACC Championship, which is being held at the Shark's Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club.

After finishing fifth in the standings, FSU will face Georgia Tech in the quarterfinal. Since match play was introduced to the tournament in 2021, the Seminoles are 3-4 and are 1-1 against the Yellow Jackets.

The Seminoles found momentum early, as all five players carded a birdie on the third hole, immediately jumping into the top three. FSU matched the effort from Friday, turning in a round of 2-under, 286, finishing the tournament 1-under, 863.

Jack Whaley and Tyler Weaver turned in top 10 finishes, led by Whaley, who placed eighth. Whaley carded five birdies in the round, including three on the back nine to move up the leaderboard. Whaley finished the round 2-under, 70 and 4-under, 212 for the tournament.

Weaver got off to a quick start, securing three birdies on the front nine, but finished the tournament at 3-under, 213, tying for 10th place after adding a round of 73.

Jack Bighman was also under par for the round, shooting 2-under, 70, carding three birdies. Bigham tied for 33rd place, at 4-over, 220.

Patrick McCann also started the day with three birdies on the front nine, but finished 1-over for the day, shooting 73. He placed 41st at 6-over, 222.

No. 24 Noles Takes Down No. 21 Georgia Tech to Advance to the ACC Semifinal.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The No. 24 Florida State men's golf team defeated No. 21 Georgia Tech in the quarterfinal, 3-2, of the 2026 ACC Championship on Sunday at the Shark's Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club.

All five matches in the quarterfinal stayed tight between the fourth-seeded Yellow Jackets and fifth-seeded Seminoles.

Jack Whaley regained his lead on the eighth hole after an eagle and stretched the lead to 3 up after the 13th. After giving a point back, Whaley put the match away after winning the 17th hole after an eagle, defeating Albert Hansson 3&1 in the first match.

The second match of the quarterfinal went the distance between Wilmer Edero and Kale Fontenot. After the match was tied for four holes following the 12th hole, Edero fell behind by one on the 17th. Despite a par on the 18th by Edero, Georgia Tech took the point. The Yellow Jackets added another after a 2&1 win in the third match.

Needing a spark, Florida State turned to redshirt senior Patrick McCann in the fourth match. McCann fell behind by one for four holes after the ninth but tied the match after a par on 13. The next holes went back-and-forth, but McCann carded a birdie on the 16th to go 1 up. McCann put the pressure on Benjamin Reuter on the 17th and came away with another birdie to win the match 2&1.

In the fifth and final match, Tyler Weaver took back his lead on the eighth hole after a birdie and stretched his advantage to 2up on the 11th. Weaver was solid through his final 10 holes, carding eight pars and two birdies to keep the lead. Weaver defeated Aidan Tran 2&1 to send the Noles to the semifinal for the second straight season.

ACC Semifinal Halted with No. 24 Noles Leading No. 18 Stanford.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The No. 24 Florida State men's golf team is leading No. 18 Stanford as play was called due to darkness in the 2026 ACC Championship Semifinal at the Shark's Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club. The fifth-seeded Seminoles a Play will resume on Monday at 8:30 a.m. ET., with Jack Bigham and Carson Brewer still on the course. Bigham is tied with Edan Cui with two holes to play, while Brewer is down two to Dean Greyserman with two holes to go.

Stanford jumped to an early advantage, winning in four of the five matches, but the Seminoles battled back to take over the lead late in three.

Weaver showed dominance in his match early, and lead from start to finish, taking the win 4&3 over Jay Leng, giving the Seminoles a point.

In the first match Whaley, found himself down three. After wins on the 10th and 13th holes, he pulled within one. Whaley battled down the stretch but fell to Ethan Gao by one.

McCann trailed by two but bounced back to tie on the 11th hole. McCann moved ahead after a par putt on the 15th and added another point for the Noles behind a 3&1 victory just before play was called.

Bigham's match was back-and-forth and left the course tied.


No. 24 Noles Fall to No. 18 Stanford in ACC Semifinal.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The No. 24 Florida State men's golf team fell to No. 18 Stanford in the ACC Semifinal at the Shark's Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club on Monday morning.

On Sunday, the Seminoles battled back from an early deficit to earn a 2-1 advantage before play was called due to darkness due to a weather delay.

With four of the five matches close on Sunday, Jack Bigham and Carson Brewer were left on the course whenever play was called.

Bigham was tied heading to the 17th tee, but his opponent took the win on the 17th hole to take back the advantage with one to play. Bigham would fall in the match, 1 up.

Brewer began play on Monday finishing the 16th hole, trailing by two. After saving par to tie on the 16th, Brewer carded a massive birdie to keep the match alive on the 17th. With the pressure on, Brewer played to win the hole, but tied the 18th, dropping the match by one.

No. 23 Noles Tied for Third to Open NCAA Regionals.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 23 Florida State men's golf team opened the 2026 NCAA Columbus Regional on Monday, which is being held at the Ohio State Golf Club.

The Seminoles started the morning off on 10th hole and were paired with Long Beach State and Utah. Working out of fifth spot, Carson Brewer tied for the team lead in the opening round, carding even par, 71. Brewer went to the top of the leaderboard early after carding an eagle on No. 12, which was a 562-yard par five.

Jack Whaley also turned in an even par round, carding three birdies. Both Brewer and Whaley are tied for third, just two strokes behind the player in second place.

Wilmer Edero and Patrick McCann finished the day 3-over, 74 and are tied for 30th place to start. Jack Bigham finished 4-over, 75 and is tied for 42nd.

Playing the week on the Scarlet Course, the Seminoles are tied for third place at 6-over, 290 along with No. 14 Stanford. Both teams are one stroke behind Memphis and three strokes ahead of No. 12 Arizona State and Illinois State. No. 3 Florida leads the field at 7-under.


Bigham, Edero lead No. 23 Noles in Second Round of NCAA Regionals.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 23 Florida State men's golf team sits in sixth place at the 2026 NCAA Columbus Regional after the second round of play on Tuesday, at the Ohio State Golf Club Scarlet Course.

The Seminoles were led by Wilmer Edero and Jack Bigham in the second round on Tuesday, each carding rounds of 3-over, 74. Edero matched his effort from round one and sits tied for 27th place at 6-over, 148. Bigham moved up to 33rd place and is at 7-over, 149.

Patrick McCann added a round of 4-over 75 and is also even with Bigham for the tournament.

Carson Brewer and Jack Whaley were 5-over, 76 on the day and are tied for 20th place at 5-over, 147.

Florida State shot 15-over, 299 in the second round and sits at 21-over, 589. FSU holds a one-stroke lead over Illinois State in seventh place and is one stroke behind No. 24 Long Beach State in fifth and six behind No. 12 Arizona State in fourth. The Seminoles will begin the third and final round on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. from the 10th hole and will be paired with the Sharks and Sun Devils.


No. 23 Men's Golf Advances to 6th Consecutive NCAA Championship.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 23 Florida State men's golf team advanced to a sixth consecutive NCAA Championship Wednesday after the third round of play at the Ohio State Golf Club Scarlet Course in the Columbus Regional. The Seminoles shot +31 for the event and finished in fifth place, with the top-5 teams advancing to the Men's Golf Championship, which will be held at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa, May 29-June 3.

Jack Whaley was one of just four golfers to shoot under-par Wednesday, tying for the low score in the final round with a 1-under 70. Whaley was +4 for the tournament to tie for seventh overall.

Jack Bigham was +2 73 Wednesday, while Wilmer Edero shot a +3 74. The two tied for 23rd overall with a +9 222.

Carson Brewer was 6-over on Wednesday, while Patrick McCann was +10 in the final round.

Shooting 10-over in the third round, Florida State began the day in sixth place and jumped Long Beach State for the final spot in the NCAA Championship. The final round was delayed two hours due to weather and began with a shotgun start.

Whaley Leads Noles in First Round of NCAA Championship.

CARLSBAD, Calif. - The No. 23 Florida State men's golf team opened play at the 2026 NCAA Championships on Friday at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.

The Seminoles started the first round early off the first tee and were led by Jack Whaley, who finished the day even par, 72.

In his NCAA debut, Whaley carded nine pars to start the round, but found some momentum with back-to-back birdies on holes 10 and 11. As the wind picked up on the back nine, Whaley saw two bogeys down the stretch to finish even.

With the afternoon wave still out on the course, Whaley sits tied for 33rd place, three strokes out of third place.

Carson Brewer finished the day 5-over, 77 ahead of Wilmer Edero at 6-over, 78. Jack Bigham was 8-over, 80.

The top 15 teams after the third round will advance to the final round of stroke play and the top eight teams will advance to match play.


Whaley Climbs Leaderbaord in Round Two at NCAA Championship.

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Florida State junior Jack Whaley continues to lead the 23rd-ranked Seminoles at the 2026 Men's Golf Championship, which is being held at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.

In the second round, Whaley carded a round of 4-under, 68, which was the third-lowest round in the field on Saturday.

Starting on the 10th hole in the afternoon wave, Whaley made birdie to open the round. After giving it back on the 12th hole, Whaley found momentum on the 15th, carding three birdies in-a-row to move to 3-under.

Whaley shot nine consecutive pars before closing the round with a birdie on the ninth, moving up 22 spots on the leaderboard. He enters the final round tied for 13th place at 4-under, 140.

Jack Bigham finished the round even, 72, carding four birdies, while Carson Brewer finished the day three-over, 75.

After a tough start on the front nine, Patrick McCann bounced back and finished the back nine 1-under. McCann made a birdie on the sixth, and finished with another on the ninth.


Whaley Advances to Final Round of Stroke Play at NCAA Championship.

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Florida State junior Jack Whaley advanced to the final round of stroke play at the 2026 NCAA Men's Golf Championship on Sunday, which is being held at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.

In the second round on Saturday, Whaley shot 4-under, 68 to move into the top 20 on the leaderboard.

Starting in the afternoon off the first tee, Whaley was even on the first nine holes. After making the turn, Whaley made birdie on the 10th to move to 5-under for the tournament, however he slipped back to 2-under after a tough stretch on holes 13 and 14.

Needing a birdie to get back into an advancing spot, Whaley delivered on the 16th to move up to 3-under.

On the 18th, Whaley took a stroke after his tee shot landed out of bounds, but regained composure and hit his third shot on the par-five, six feet from the hole. He was able to save par and claim a spot in Monday's final as one of the top nine individuals from a non-advancing team.

Whaley finished the day 1-over, 73 and is 3-under, 213.

Jack Bigham closed out his career with a round of even par, 72, matching his round from Saturday.

Patrick McCann also finished out his career shooting 4-over, 76, while Carson Brewer was 7-over, 79 for the day.

The No. 23 Seminoles, who earned a sixth straight bid to the NCAA Championship, finished the tournament 30th at 35-over, 899 after shooting 12-over, 300 on Sunday.


Whaley Places 14th at NCAA Championship.

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Florida State junior Jack Whaley advanced to the final round of stroke play at the 2026 NCAA Men's Golf Championship on Monday at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.

Whaley was one of the top nine individuals from a non-advancing team after three rounds of play.

Sitting at 3-under entering the round, Whaley started the afternoon from the 10th tee. He made birdie on his second hole, but gave the stroke back on No. 12. Whaley answered on his fourth hole with another birdie, but carded a bogey on the next hole.

Looking for momentum, Whaley birdied holes 15 and 17 before making the turn to move to 5-under.

After six steady holes, Whaley moved to 6-under on the par-five sixth hole after a birdie, but gave it back on the seventh. Whaley closed out strong on the ninth hole with a birdie to move to 6-under, 282 for the tournament, tying for 14th place after finishing the round 3-under, 69.

Whaley carded rounds of 72, 68, 73 and 69 in his first NCAA appearance. His four-round score ties the fourth lowest for an FSU player at the NCAA Championship in program history alongside Jonas Blixt (2007) and Luke Clanton (2024).
