Seminoles Place Second at Intercollegiate Florida Invite.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The Florida State cross country teams opened the 2025 season at the Intercollegiate Florida Invite on Friday, with the women's team placing second overall as a team.
Nicole Dinan led the women's 5k for the Seminoles, crossing the line in fifth with a personal best of 17:18.0, marking the first top-five finish of her career.
Margaret Bartlow made her collegiate debut, placing sixth at 17:23.5. Lindy White placed seventh with a lifetime best of 17:48.3, while Ava Povich followed in eighth with a time of 17:52.3. Avery Cahoon was the fifth FSU scorer at 18:46.9 (26th).
In a field that featured eight in-state teams and one ranked opponent, the Seminoles placed second behind No.11 Florida (52).
On the men's side, sophomore Kaden Levings showed veteran leadership, leading the Seminoles in the 8k, crossing the finish line in 14th at 25:17.9.
Lucas Bouquot followed in 25th with a time of 25:35.0. Zach Trotter was the third Seminole to cross the line at 28th at 25:45.9. Bernardo Barnhart made his collegiate debut on the course, placing 31st (25:47.9). Garrett Stickley rounded out the scoring for FSU in 32nd at 25:49.9.
The men's team finished in fourth overall as a team with 98 points.

Florida State Finishes Strong at Southern Showcase.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Florida State cross country teams continued their season on Friday at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama.
Margaret Bartlow led the women's 5k for the Seminoles, crossing the line in 30th with a time of 17:23.0.
Nicole Dinan finished in the top 50, placing 39th at 17:31.3 Ava Povich placed 54th at 17:44.0, while Ella Pasko followed in 136th with a time of 18:30.4. Ella Menke was the fifth FSU scorer at 18:50.9 (180th).
The women's team finished in the top 20 out of 54 teams, placing 13th overall with 352 points.
On the men's side, sophomore Kaden Levings led the Seminoles for the second consecutive time this year in the 8k, placing 30th with a time of 24:39.0.
Gino Palazzalo followed in 35th with a career best time of 25:48.5. Bernardo Barnhart was the third Seminole to cross the line at 60th, posting a lifetime best of 25:47.6. Garrett Stickley placed 143rd, and Anoil Borras rounded out the race for the Seminoles in 186th.

Blade Places Third in Seminole Debut.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State cross country teams hosted the annual FSU XC Invite on Friday at Apalachee Regional Park as Rylee Blade placed third in her collegiate debut.
Three Seminoles placed in the top 10 for the women's 6k, with Blade leading the way in third with a time of 20:03.5. Bieke Schipperen opened her junior season with a sixth-place finish at 20:34.1, Brooke Hooper was the third FSU runner to cross the line in ninth with a time of 21:00.3. Ava Povich followed in 16th with a personal-best time of 21:50.4 and Maggie Bartlow concluded the scoring card for the Seminoles in 17th at 21:48.3.
The women's team finished second overall with 51 points behind Georgia.
On the men's side, four Seminoles placed in the top 20. Aidan Ryan led the 8k for Florida State, finishing in 11th place with a time of 25:03.3. Kaden Levings placed 13th with a time of 25:06.6.
Gino Palazzalo finished in 18th at 25:13.7. Lucas Bouquot followed behind at 19th at 25:14.7. Zach Trotter rounded out the top five for the Seminoles, placing 54th with a career-best time at 26:08.2.
The men's team placed third overall as a team with a score of 113 points.

Seminoles Compete Strong at Sean Earl Lakefront Invite.
CHICAGO, Ill. - The Florida State Cross Country teams continued its strong performances at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Friday in Chicago, with all five scorers on the women's team notching new career best times.
Rylee Blade led the Seminoles for the second consecutive week, placing third behind No. 2 NC State's Hannah Gapes and Bethany Michalak with a personal best time of 19:37.41. Bieke Schipperen followed in seventh with a career best of 19:56.93. Brooke Hooper ran a lifetime best of 20:40.00, placing third. Suus Altorf was the fourth Seminole to cross the line in 61st with a personal best of 20:54.62. Ava Povich rounded out the score for Florida State in 95th with a lifetime best of 21:39.63.
The women's team finished seventh overall with 195 points, outlasting No. 7 Providence, No. 21 Wisconsin, and No. 29 Minnesota.
On the men's side, Isaac Hirshman-Chandler took charge and led the Seminoles with a 17th place finish with a time of 23:55.83. Aidan Ryan placed 58th with a career best of 24:45.42. Gino Palazzolo followed Ryan in 65th at 24:51.20. Kaden Levings was the fourth FSU scorer in 74th at 25:05.28. Lucas Bouquot concluded the scorecard for Florida State in 75th with a time of 25:07.96.
The men's team placed 12th overall as a team with a score of 279 points.

Women's Cross Country Place in Top Five at Pre-Nationals.
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Florida State cross country team closed out the regular season Friday morning at Pre-Nationals in Columbia, Missouri. The women's team finished fifth overall with 255 points, marking the highest Pre-Nationals finish under head coach Cody Halsey.
The depth of the Seminole squad was on display with Rylee Blade leading the pack for the third consecutive meet after placing 14th with a time of 19:53.0. Bieke Schipperen finished in 17th with a career-best of 19:56.1. Brooke Hooper was the third runner with a lifetime-best of 20:35.0. Suus Altorf posted a personal-best of 20:35.2 for 53rd. Ava Povich rounded out Florida State's top five in 131st with a career-best 21:19.7.
On the men's side, Isaac Hirshman Chandler led the Seminoles, finishing in 24th with a time of 23:46.5. Kaden Levings placed 84th at 24:30.6, Lucas Bouquot followed Levings in 99th at 24:42.1, Aidan Ryan was the fourth FSU scorer in 104th at 24:47.5 and Gino Palazzolo concluded the scoring for Florida State in 167th with a time of 25:24.8.
The men's team placed 19th overall with 448 points.

Schipperen Earns Second Consecutive All-ACC Honors.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Florida State cross country teams concluded the ACC Championships in Louisville on Friday as student-athlete Bieke Schipperen captured All-ACC honors for the second year in a row.
The women's team has now crowned at least one All-ACC runner in every race since 1995, after Schipperen captured her second consecutive All-ACC honor, placing 15th with a personal-best time of 19:55.7. The Netherlands native moved up two spots from last year's individual finish, where she placed 17th overall.
Suus Altorf came in as the second scorer, crossing the line in 63rd with a time of 20:42.0. Rylee Blade made her ACC debut, finishing 66th in 20:45.3. Brooke Hooper competed in her first ACC Championship, placing 78th in 20:57.1. Nicole Dinan was the fifth FSU runner, finishing 83rd with a career-best time of 21:00.1.
As a team, the women finished 12th overall with 281 points.
The men's team was led by Isaac Hirshman Chandler in his first ACC Championship appearance, finishing just outside of All-ACC honors in 29th place with a career-best time of 23:33.4. In his second ACC meet, Lucas Bouquot placed 63rd, crossing the line in 24:03.3. Kaden Levings was the third Seminole to finish, clocking a time of 24:09.0. Aidan Ryan followed in 123rd at 25:01.8, while Zach Trotter rounded out the scoring in 128th with a lifetime-best of 25:06.3.
FSU placed 12th overall as a team with 360 points.

Four Seminoles Earn All-Region Honors.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Florida State cross country team competed at the NCAA South Regional Championship at John Hunt Park on Friday morning. Bieke Schipperen earned All-Region honors for the second consecutive year, while Rylee Blade, Suus Altorf, and Isaac Hirshman Chandler captured the accolade for the first time in their careers.
Blade led the Florida State women across the finish line in seventh with a personal-best time of 19:29.1, marking the highest individual finish by a true freshman since Elizabeth Funderburk in 2019. Schipperen followed in ninth, posting a career-best time of 19:40.9. Altorf was the third FSU scorer to boast a lifetime best at 19:55.7, finishing in 19th. Nicole Dinan posted a personal-best of 20:43.8 for 50th and Maggie Bartlow rounded out Florida State's top five in 77th with a career-best 21:13.6.
The women's team finished in sixth overall with 157 points.
Hirshman Chandler paved the way for the men's 10k for the fourth consecutive race, finishing in 12th with a time of 29:49.5. Kaden Levings placed 30th with a new personal-best at 30:28.6 with Lucas Bouquot following Levings in 50th with a career-best of 30:58.8. Aidan Ryan was the fourth FSU scorer in 82nd at 31:44.9 and Gino Palazzolo concluded the scoring for Florida State in 111th with a time of 32:32.6.
The men's team placed 10th overall with 270 points.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Florida State cross country team capped off its season at the NCAA National Championship in Columbia on Saturday morning.
Rylee Blade concluded her first collegiate season in the top-120 of the nation, after placing 120th with a time of 20:02.9. Bieke Schipperen closed out the first half of her junior season in the top-150 after crossing the line in 144th at 20:11.5. Isaac Hirshman Chandler wrapped up his final collegiate cross country season, finishing in 229th at 31:03.09.
