Seminoles Tied for Second After First Round at Folds of Honor.

Florida State shot even-par 288 in its first 18 holes of the season.

September 7, 2026

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - The Florida State women's golf team opened up the 2026-27 season shooting even-par 288 on Monday, putting the Seminoles in a tie for second after 18 holes at the Folds of Honor Collegiate.

Sitting in third on the team leaderboard for much of the day at American Dunes Golf Club, FSU made a late push on its finishing holes to move into a tie for second with Texas A&M. Both teams trail Kansas, which leads the field by four strokes.

Preseason All-American Sophia Fullbrook anchored the Seminoles with a two-under 70. After shooting an even-par 36 on the back nine, the junior carded a 34 on the front with birdies on Nos. 4 and 6 to go along with seven pars. She finished the day in a tie for fourth on the individual leaderboard.

Haruhi Nakatani was two over par heading into her final two holes, but the sophomore closed with back-to-back birdies on Nos. 8 and 9 to finish with an even-par 72. She is tied for 12th entering Tuesday's second round.

Elin Pudas Remler got off to a fast start for the Seminoles, recording a birdie on the opening hole, No. 10, before adding an eagle on the par-5 13th. Despite a double bogey on No. 8, the junior finished with a one-over 73 and is tied for 16th.

Freshman Louise Landgraf posted a one-over 73 in her first collegiate event, providing the fourth counting score for the Seminoles. Landgraf is also tied for 16th after the opening round.

Nakatani Sparks Seminoles' Strong Finish at Folds of Honor.

Florida State shot two-over 290 in round two on Tuesday.

September 8, 2026

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - With Florida State looking to stay within striking distance heading into the final round, Haruhi Nakatani made sure the Seminoles would have every opportunity to do so.

The sophomore birdied three of her final four holes Tuesday, closing with a two-under 70 to lead Florida State in the second round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes Golf Club.

Birdies were harder to come by for the Seminoles on day two, but a strong finish kept them firmly in contention. Florida State shot a 290 (+2), putting them in third place at two-over par for the tournament, one stroke behind second-place Arizona and seven behind Kansas, which maintained its lead from round one.

Nakatani was steady from the start, making nine consecutive pars to open her round and turn in an even-par 36 on the front nine. She found her rhythm on the back nine, making her first birdie of the day on the par-4 10th before closing with birdies on Nos. 15, 16, and 18. Her 70 moved her into a tie for third on the individual leaderboard at two under for the tournament.

Louise Landgraf continued to make an immediate impact in her first collegiate tournament, posting her first round under par with a one-under 71. The freshman made just two bogeys, answering each with a birdie, before closing with another birdie on No. 18. Her second-round 71 moved her into a tie for 11th at one over for the tournament.

Sophia Fullbrook overcame a difficult stretch in the middle of her round to stay in the top 10. The junior made three bogeys over a four-hole span but responded by playing her final eight holes at one under par. Her one-over 73 put her in a tie for seventh at one under through 36 holes.

Elin Pudas Remler carded a four-over 76 as the fourth counting score for the Seminoles.

Seminoles Win Folds of Honor Collegiate; Nakatani Co-Champion.

Florida State shot five-under 283 in the third round Wednesday to win its season-opening event.

September 9, 2026

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - The Florida State women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season in championship fashion, overcoming a seven-stroke deficit to win the Folds of Honor Collegiate on Wednesday at American Dunes Golf Club.

Entering the final round in third place and seven shots behind Kansas, the Seminoles fired a five-under 283 to finish at three-under for the tournament to narrowly hold off Texas A&M for the team title.

"I am extremely proud of the way we played this week," said head coach Amy Bond. "We got better as the tournament went on, and today the team showed a lot of grit. This was a great start to the season."

Florida State steadied itself during a dramatic finish on the back nine, where the Seminoles were part of a four-way tie for first at one point before pulling away to secure the championship.

Leading the charge for the second consecutive day was Haruhi Nakatani, who capped her round with a clutch par on the 18th hole to secure both the team championship and a share of the individual title - the first collegiate victory of her career.

Nakatani picked up right where she left off Tuesday, when she birdied three of her final four holes. She opened Wednesday with back-to-back birdies on Nos. 1 and 2 before adding three more birdies, including a lengthy putt on the par-4 17th that moved her into a tie for first on the individual leaderboard with one hole to play.

After choosing to lay up on the par-5 18th, Nakatani's third shot went long of the green. The sophomore calmly recovered, getting up-and-down for par by sinking a four-foot putt to finish her round and clinch the Seminoles' team title. She finished at six-under 210 for the tournament and shared medalist honors.

Alexandra Gazzoli delivered her best round of the tournament when the Seminoles needed it most, carding a two-under 70. The junior made an eagle on the par-5 sixth and added a lengthy birdie putt on No. 18 to close her round in style.

Preseason All-American Sophia Fullbrook provided another steady performance, recording one birdie, one bogey and 16 pars for an even-par 72. The junior finished at one-under 215 for the tournament, earning a ninth-place finish and her 10th career top 10 result as a Seminole.

Elin Pudas Remler provided the fourth counting score for the Seminoles, finishing with a one-over 73. The junior also closed with a birdie on No. 18 to help Florida State secure the championship.

The victory marks Florida State's first ever team title at the prestigious Folds of Honor Collegiate, an event the Seminoles co-host with Michigan State and have participated in for three consecutive seasons. It also marks the first time since 2016 that Florida State has won its season-opening event, when the Seminoles claimed the Schooner Fall Classic.

Meanwhile, Nakatani becomes the second Seminole to capture the individual title at the tournament, joining Mirabel Ting, who won the event in 2024.
